Maternal and Child Health Improvement in Rural Community.

Our mission is to enhance the health and well-being of expectant mothers and children under 5 years old within a rural community. By providing targeted support, we aim to significantly decrease maternal and child mortality and morbidity rates in the area. Through comprehensive programs and care, we strive to create a healthier future for both mothers and their young children, fostering a thriving and resilient community.

Objectives: 

To improve the health and well-being of pregnant women and children under 5 years old in a rural community. 

To reduce maternal and child mortality and morbidity rates in the community. 


Activities: 

Conduct health camps to screen pregnant women and children for malnutrition, anemia, and other health issues. 

Provide free prenatal and postnatal care for pregnant women, including check-ups, counseling, and distribution of iron and folic acid supplements. 

Train health workers on safe delivery practices, newborn care, and breastfeeding techniques. 

Establish a community-based health surveillance system to monitor the health status of pregnant women and children under 5 years old. 

Provide health education sessions to promote healthy behaviors and practices among women, men, and children in the community. 


Budget: 

The total budget for the project is ₹17,22,000 The breakdown of expenses is as follows:

  • Health camps: ₹3,70,000
  • Prenatal and postnatal care: ₹7,40,000
  • Health worker training: ₹2,22,000
  • Health surveillance system: ₹1,48,000
  • Health education sessions: ₹1,48,000
  • Contingency (10% of total budget): ₹1,62,200


Expected Impact: 

Improved health and well-being of pregnant women and children under 5 years old in the community. 

Reduced maternal and child mortality and morbidity rates in the community. 

Increased awareness and adoption of healthy behaviors and practices among women, men, and children in the community. 

Strengthened capacity of health workers and community-based health surveillance system to sustain the project outcomes in the long-term.
